ABOUT ERC

The METU Economic Research Center has been established within the Department of Economics of the Middle East Technical University for the purpose of promoting research into contemporary economic and social problems. The Center aims to organize and promote theoretical and applied research in the economic and social development problems of Turkey, and to organize academic events and prepare textbooks that meet the needs of Turkey and other developing countries. To this end, the Center organizes seminars, lectures and congresses. It regularly publishes new research work in the working paper series. The Center exchanges research papers with several research institutions abroad. The Library of the Economic Research Center compiles documents, research papers and statistical material, and is in the process of forming a data base. It serves research workers and post-graduate students.
